Remember that with the version 2001 you can't search for addresses!!! That's why it says "insufficient memory". Try searching for places instead! Have fun!

Have a Toshiba e400. maps wont open when stored on storage card. Installed Pocket Streets and maps in same folder. When clicking on map, program opens instantly. Address search does not work no matter where program is installed, message says not enough memory.

Marcus, you can download a fully working London map at www.ppc-welt.de for pocket streets 2002. It's about 10 Mb once unzipped and converted to pocket streets 2001, but works great in my 300 MHz machine. (My thanks to the owner of the web page) Pitty that most underground stations are missed.

Marcus, I'm heaving the same problem with London central Map. However, I could make it partially run by zooming + several times, closing the program and starting it again. Then the map opens, you can move it, but after a while it "loops" again. So, at the end, completely useless

Anyone had any success with the Central London map (UK_London_CTR.mps). I downloaded it, successfully ran the converter program against it but having transferred it onto my iPAQ 5550, pocket streets just continuously display the animated timer. I've tried other maps and they work OK. Any ideas? Marcus.

I adored the program, but as I am Brazilian he would like to know if your he has or know some site that has the maps of Brazil, especially of the city of Manaus, capital of Amazon. Where do I get ANY maps?! :( I downloaded it, and no maps came with it. I went to all the links, and in one I downloaded all the maps I wanted from where I live ...HOWEVER, the problem is they are the newer version, which costs money. :( There was a suggestion to change the "bytes" but the question "in what editor" was never answered. Can anyone email me? What should I do.... And everyone else was happy with this, does that mean that I am missing some maps that CAME with it... I am confused. If anyone could help...

The first person who posted suggested changing the third byte from 9 to 6. What editor do I use to do this? When I open the file in notepad I just see gibberish. Thanks.

You can open 2002 maps in 2001 you only have 2 change the 3rd byte from 9 to 6. The map doesnt work right then, you cant search for an address f.e. but you can still view it. HTH.

People have asked about sources of maps. Have you had any replies? Specifically, is there a source of UK maps? The only ones at http://66.216.6.223/maps/ are London & Sheffield. They can't all have been deleted to make way for Pocket Streets 2002 can they? (and the metaboo link doesn't work) Or has anyone found a free pocket mapping program with better support for the UK?

Nancy, The maps below are for Pocket Streets 2001 and they were made from MapPoint by exporting the maps to Pocket PC device. In MapPoint yuo don't need those files. It alsready has everything.
