Description:
CESlideShow presents
a slideshow of your images on your PocketPC Today screen. It will display all
the .jpg, .jpe, .jpeg, .bmp, .2bp, .png, and .gif files within a user defined
directory with a programmable interval between pictures. The images can be displayed
within a Today scene or 'Full Screen', while still showing the System Navigation
and Menu bars. The size of the displayed image is independent of the actual
image size, and CESlideShow can optionally stretch the image to fit the
available space.
CESlideShow has the
following option settings:
Image Folder
This defines the place that CESlideShow will look for image files. It will display
any .jpg, .bmp, and .gif files that it finds in this folder. To change it, click
the button and a folder selection dialog will come up. Select the desired folder
and click OK. You can also add, delete, and rename folders in this dialog. Folders
must be within a 'My Documents' folder either in Main Memory or a Storage Card,
and cannot be nested. The default is \My Documents\CESlideShow Samples.
Slide Interval
This setting determines the time CESlideShow will wait before switching to the
next image in the folder. Use the Up/Down arrows to set the number of (H)ours,
(M)inutes, and (S)econds. The Today screen has a minimum timer value of 2-3
seconds, so the actual time between slides can vary by this amount. In addition,
if the images are very large, it may take a while for CESlideShow to read them
in and resize them for the display.
Background
This setting defines a color used to fill in any space that is left around the
picture as it is sized to fit in the window. The Set button brings up the 'Background
Color' dialog and allows the image background and border color to be changed.
The checkbox toggles between the selected color and transparent mode. The currently
selected color fills a small rectange below the Background box.
Filename
This setting defines the color of the text of the filename, which will be overlayed
on the image. Select T to have the name at the top of the image, and B for the
bottom. The Set button brings up the 'Filename Color' dialog and allows the
text color of the image's filename to be changed. The checkbox toggles between
showing the filename or not showing it. The currently selected color fills a
small rectange below the Filename box.
Border Space
These settings allow a border to be defined when images are displayed. The color
of the border depends on the Background color that is set . For most Today themes,
the default borders of 0 should be fine, but some themes or images may look
better with a border and these settings allow you to create them. The Z button
will zero all the entries. The C button will copy the Top entry into the Bottom,
Left, and Right boxes. The R button resets the border values to what they were
when the dialog was entered.
Size Setting
This box shows the current size selection for displaying images. Clicking on
the Set button brings up the 'Set Height' slider dialog. There are a number
of pre-set sizes available, and a custom size can be selected using the slider.
The space will always be 240 pixels wide (227 if the scroll bar is showing)
and the height can range from 20 to 268 pixels.
Stretch to Fit
This option will stretch the image to fit the window available. If it is not
selected, then the image's original aspect ratio is maintained as it is resized
to fit the window.
CESlideShow
is shareware, and is fully functional. Until it is registered, it will display
a 'Please Register' notice over the image, and a request will be shown every
two hours of use.
